While Rick Santorum is busy sending “remember me?” text messages to Mitt Romney in hopes of getting an invite to speak at the convention, Donald Trump knows his own invite is already in the mail.
“I know they want me to,” Trump said of his potential plans to speak at the convention on Fox News this morning. “I’ll see what happens.”
As Politico notes, a report today has the initial speakers line up. It includes: Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Fox News’ Mike Huckabee.
Absent from the (incomplete) list is Trump. We’ll worry about that later.
