Facebook is one of the top social networking sites out there that consistently sits at the top or near the top of the rankings among top sites being used socially. The amazing part of it is that it is always free to join and one can use it in many different ways. One way of course, is connecting to friends and peers and even making new ones. Another way is using it to grow one's business.Since its started in 2004, it now has more than 500 million active users and the number is continually growing and the worldwide ratio of users is now 1:14 meaning one user for every fourteen individuals. Whew!
So it is easy to understand that having a Facebook account is the "in" thing these days so it is very useful for some to write a post on how to have an account in the site. First up, before attempting to make one, you should already have an existing e-mail account through any of the e-mail providers such as Hotmail, Gmail and yahoo because this is where Facebook will send a confirmation that you indeed have already joined. So if your e-mail address is set, then we are now ready to create an account in Facebook.
Step 1 is to go to the site of Facebook, so type http://www.facebook.com and you will be redirected to the site. Now we can see the Sign Up page of the site (First Name, Last Name, Your E-mail, Re-enter e-mail, I am[sex], and Birthday), so we simply fill these things up then hit, Sign Up. You will then be asked to enter a code usually made up of 2 words and then asked to enter them in the box below it, do so... this is very important. If entered correctly, you will then be welcomed to a step by step page on how to complete your account.
So in here, you can edit your profile, change your profile picture or that one picture that will appear when your account shows up to a friend that tries to access your profile. You can also change in here your work and school information and such info to help friends find you in Facebook. This is also where you can start adding friends by searching their names or e-mail address on the search box. Another cool feature of Facebook is that you can actually chat with your friends that are currently online and if you love games, you can select from a variety of game apps that you can access that is also free. So, congratulations.. you now have your very own Facebook account.
So there you have it, the steps on how to make an account in Facebook and as you can see it can be made in a matter of minutes and signing up is as easy as 1,2,3. So what are you waiting for? If you are one of those that are not yet a member, then you should start creating your very own account and join the millions that are using it.
