Hello I hope you are doing OK thanks for reading this cool Facebook tricks article.

In as brief of text as possible I want to explain how to use the username feature in Facebook to create a personal URL for your profile.

Why would this be considered one the of the many cool Facebook tricks you ask?

There are several reasons...

1. It's easy for you to remember if you want to give someone your Facebook address or put that on a business card.

How would something custom look vs. a whole lot of numbers and letters?

2. It's easier for other people to remember so it's easier for them to find and connect with you and if your like me to do business.

3. If you are active in forums or whatever and want to update your profile have you noticed the Facebook URL is usually the longest?

Well now you can have your revenge.

It could also be considered one the cool Facebook tricks because the branding aspect it can be used for as well. I guessed I have digressed enough so to get on with it already OK.

Here we go it's one of the simplest tricks you will use.

Log in to your Facebook account.

Click on the Account Tab.

Click on Account Settings in the drop down.

Click on usernames and follow the instructions it's pretty intuitive.

Make the necessary changes you may need your cellphone handy to have a code sent to you from Facebook that you will enter to finalize the process.

Also once you have chosen what you want your username to be and finalize it that's it this is one of those cool Facebook tricks that cannot be undone.

Oh and let me state that you are not changing your log in name to Facebook just your profile URL and that is it.
